Centre for Regional and Southeast Asian Studies, Myanmar (CRSSM)

Introduction

The Centre for Regional and Southeast Asian Studies, Myanmar (CRSSM), formerly known as the Southeast Asian and the Pacific Studies, Myanmar Centre, is a prominent academic and strategic resource hub in Myanmar. CRSSM is dedicated to fostering regional integration, international trade facilitation, and economic cooperation within the ASEAN framework and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

A core institutional strength of CRSSM is its extensive network of entrepreneurs and businesses across Myanmar, bridging diverse local ethnic business communities with regional economic opportunities.

CRSSM conducts foundational and advanced courses, including its flagship Foundation Course in ASEAN Studies, designed to enhance regional awareness and strategic thinking.

Furthermore, it has the capabilities to connect investors and trade delegations with emerging Myanmar opportunities, and supports Myanmar enterprises to access China and ASEAN markets.

The centre is to co-organize and support international trade fairs, investment roadshows, business matchings, and workshops.

Moreover, CRSSM could provide updates on policy shifts, industry data, and market intelligence to empower business communities.

Last but not least, the centre has been operating on the principles of mutual respect, good faith, and international commercial customs.
